Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of our Inasmuch community. They bring a wealth of knowledge, skill and care for the newcomers we serve. Volunteers help by providing tips for thriving in Canadian culture, helping Claimants pass driving tests, connecting them to employment opportunities and helping them prepare for job interviews.

Here are some other key ways volunteers donate their time and talents: 

- driving residents to Vancouver for immigration check ins  

- baking for weekly Tea Times 

- yard work at Inasmuch houses 

- helping move residents to next homes 

- sorting household donations

- English language tutoring and conversation

It has been my privilege to be a volunteer with Inasmuch for the past few years. Welcoming newcomers to Canada and helping with their English skills has enriched my life and brought beautiful faces to the issues that confront our world. I have been impressed by the holistic approach Inasmuch takes as they assist Refugee Claimants. Their desire truly is to see each person thrive.
